This is caused by incorrect IP settings which makes the printer unrecognizable. We need to configure the IP address.
Step 1: Plug one end of the network cable into the printer, and plug the other end into the USB Gigabit Ethernet docking station. Then connect the docking station to your computer. After connection, check the network port on the printer. A flashing yellow light indicates normal connection.
Step 2: Open Settings on your computer, click Network & Internet, then select Ethernet to configure the network parameters below: IP Address: 192.168.127.12 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Click Save once finished.
Finally, once the IP configuration is completed successfully, the icon in the bottom-left corner of the software settings page will turn green.
This issue is caused by insufficient software permissions, which prevents the hard drive from saving your activation code, so you have to re-enter it every time you launch the program. Solution: Right-click the ZRIP software icon on your desktop and select Run as administrator, then re-enter your activation code. The code will be saved properly, and the software will launch normally without repeated activation prompts next time.
Software Activation Steps:
1.Click the question mark help menu in the upper right corner, a list will appear, click [Activate ZRIP].
2.Enter the activation code and click [Activate]. If the activation is successful, the words "Activation Successful" will appear.
3.Return to the ZRIP software interface, if the top text changes to the corresponding software version and no longer displays the
words "Demonstration", then the activation is successful.
⚠️Note:The activation code is printed on the nameplate at the back of the printer and the bag of the complimentary USB drive.
After replacing the film, you need to adjust the canvas width and X margin values. Otherwise, the printing range will be incorrect, or the software may even report errors.
Here are the steps to modify the canvas:
Step 1: Click ZRIP in the upper left corner.
Step 2: Select Canvas Settings.
Step 3: Modify the canvas size, and then click 'Save' below.
Step 4:Adjust the X margin value
💡Please ensure the transfer film is placed centrally. The X margin value is 10mm for 15-inch film and 50.5mm for 11.8-inch film.
💡Please pay attention to the width unit! After switching to 15-inch film, remove the laminating pieces on both sides of the film outlet.
This error is caused by incorrectly filled canvas width and X margin values. The sum of the two figures exceeds the carriage travel limit of the print head, triggering the error prompt.
Adjustment steps: Make sure the transfer film is centered first.
| Actual film size | Select width |
|---|---|
| X margin for 15-inch film | 10 mm |
| X margin for 11.8-inch film | 50.5 mm |
This issue frequently occurs after software updates. When users download and update the software themselves then connect to the printer, the software will directly read the printer firmware parameters. This causes a mismatch between the new software driver and the firmware. Please contact Obziy official after-sales service to update your firmware.
Regarding the X raster error displayed on the software, it is usually caused by stains on the raster strip or the strip slipping out of the print head sensor.
The raster strip requires daily regular maintenance to ensure stable and smooth operation of the printer during subsequent use.
If the raster strip is intact but the error still persists, try printing a test strip. If nothing prints out, the print head flat cable is dirty or damaged and needs to be replaced.
