1) Canvas Width Matches Media Width
- The canvas width should be slightly smaller than the media width to prevent the pattern from exceeding the printable area.
- Set canvas height freely based on the number of images in the batch. Canvas settings shortcut: Ctrl+Shift+M.
2) White Edge Setting (Starting Print Position)
- The white edge parameter determines the printhead's horizontal starting print position, and different media widths correspond to different optimal values:
- 381 mm media + 370 mm pattern → optimal white edge 10;
- 300 mm media + 290 mm pattern → optimal white edge 50.5;
- It is recommended to print a maximum-size pattern, leaving a small margin on both sides.
3) Printing Mode Selection
- 1-Fast Mode: fastest, for rush jobs/proofs; 2-Balanced Mode (default): most balanced for daily production; 3-Superior Mode: superior image quality; 4-Ultimate Mode: slowest but extreme detail.
- DP1 Standard has only 3 modes (no Fast Mode).
4) Feathering to Eliminate Pass Lines
- Feathering eliminates horizontal "pass lines" (stripes/brush marks) on the image; higher values (80%/90%) slow down printing.
- 6 modes: Off / Light / Normal / Depth / Super Eclosion / Custom; 2 types: Fog / Fog Strong A.
- Lower the feathering level for speed, raise it for image quality.
5) Color Bar Setting (Anti-Clogging + Monitoring)
- The color bar makes all color nozzles periodically spray ink in small amounts to stay moist, preventing nozzles from drying and clogging during large solid-color areas or long idle periods.
- Modes: Off / Wetting / Status / both; position: Left / Right / Both.
- Color bar broken lines = the corresponding color nozzle is clogged — run a cleaning. Stripes on finished products usually indicate slight nozzle clogging or white ink sedimentation.
6) White Ink (Spot Color) Volume Adjustment
- In print settings → 【Printer Settings】→【Spot Color Settings】, adjust Ink amount and Dot type control for white ink.
- When certain printing modes output too much or too little white ink layer, fine-tune with Ink amount.
7) Global Ink Volume Settings
- 【Global Ink Volume】lets you independently adjust the white/color ink multiplier and the ink limit for each channel.
- Multiple Ink supports up to 8 layers; the higher the multiplier, the slower the printing (multiple sprays at the same position). Cut Ink defaults to 100%; lowering it significantly reduces that channel's concentration.
8) Auto Skip Blank
- When enabled, the software automatically detects blank areas without patterns and the printhead "fast-forwards" past them, saving time and reducing ineffective printhead wear.
- Most effective when the image has large blank areas at the top and bottom.
