2) File Port vs Network Port
- File Port (File/PRN): generates a PRN file first, then prints — suitable for repeatedly printing the same image, but parameters are fixed and cannot be flexibly adjusted;
- Network Port (Network): processes and prints simultaneously, no PRN file generated — saves time and space, but requires higher computer specs and ZRIP must keep running in the background;
- For long multi-image printing: make sure the computer's automatic sleep is set to "Never", otherwise the task will be paused or terminated.
3) Error Compensation Calibration
- When the actual printed size deviates from the theoretical size, use 【Tools】→【Error Compensation】:
- Import a test image with clear borders and set its output size;
- After printing, measure the actual size, enter it in "Print Measurement Size" → OK, and the software auto-calibrates.
4) Cache & Performance Maintenance
- If the software runs slowly, first use 【Tools】→【Clear Cache】(clears temporary files in the Jobs folder);
- 【Performance Settings】: choose Speed-priority for maximum speed; choose Resource-priority when running multiple programs simultaneously.
5) Printhead Protection Habits
- After moving the carriage with the direction keys for maintenance, return it to the capping station promptly to prevent the nozzle surface from contacting air, which accelerates drying and clogging.
- Enable 【Pre-Print Flash】 before printing to clear residue from the nozzle surface.
- For large-area continuous printing, enable 【Auto Clean】 for automatic flash-spray cleaning to maintain print quality.
6) Pre-Print Check
- Before printing, confirm all images are within the canvas (images outside the canvas will trigger a prompt when printing).
- Confirm the default printer is the current model (verify in 【Printer Management】 before printing).
