¶ 1. Adjustment Standards and Precautions for Powder Barrier Sheets
- Width Adjustment: The inner acrylic powder barrier sheet must be flush against the film surface, while the outer edge should rest outside the film. If the gap is too narrow, it will compress the film, causing wrinkles or scratches on the printed pattern; in severe cases, this may lead to film misalignment and damage to the print head. If the gap is too wide, excess powder cannot be effectively blocked, resulting in excessive powder falling into the powder return hopper, which causes the agitator to run continuously without load and leads to insufficient powder adhesion on the pattern.
- Printing Margins: During layout and printing, leave a small blank area on both sides of the film to prevent direct friction between the powder barrier sheet and the printed pattern, which could cause scratches or damage.
- Flatness Requirements: Before placing the powder barrier sheet, ensure the film is flat and smooth. If wrinkles occur, stretch the film and re-center it properly to guarantee that no wrinkles or pressure marks remain after the barrier sheet is installed.
Strictly adhere to the three-point centering principle throughout the process: the film roll, the printer’s paper feeding and output area, and the machine’s receiving roller must all be precisely aligned and centered. The centering standard for the receiving roller is based on aligning the outer edge of its flange with the shaft slot. This alignment must be checked and calibrated daily before startup to avoid risks of print head damage.
- The heating plate takes approximately 2 minutes to reach the set temperature. It is recommended to complete software layout and equipment calibration in advance, and start printing immediately once the temperature is stable, allowing the film to pass dynamically through the heated zone to avoid localized high-temperature baking.
- Temperature adjustment principle: If curing is inadequate due to abnormal temperature, gradually reduce the temperature by 5°C increments for testing until optimal curing results are achieved.
- Frequent switching of the heating plate is strictly prohibited, as it may cause sensor misreading, leading to over-heating of the device or film deformation.
After printing is completed, activate the running mode on the printer control panel to allow the remaining printed patterns to slowly pass through for curing. This mode must be manually turned off after curing is complete. (Once enabled, the film will be conveyed at a constant speed, but the print head will continue moving back and forth, which may increase the risk of paper jam or damage to the print head. Please contact Obziy after-sales service to adjust parameters.)
Immediately enable the film transfer conveyor after printing to prevent prolonged high-temperature exposure, which could cause film warping or deformation.
Cause 1: The insulation mesh of the heating module is warped or deformed, causing friction that scratches the pattern. Solution: Loosen the six fixing screws of the insulation mesh, remove it to avoid film scratching issues.
Fault Cause 2: Excessive narrow spacing between powder-blocking blades causes the film to jam, resulting in wrinkles that scratch patterns and damage the print head. Solution: Re-adjust the spacing of the powder-blocking blades, calibrate the film to be centered, and ensure smooth film feeding.
Causes: Excessively high temperature, unstable temperature, loose fixing of the take-up roller, or misalignment during film attachment.
Solutions: 1. Strictly control the curing temperature between 160°C and 165°C; reduce the frequency of heating plate on/off cycles to stabilize internal equipment temperature. Frequent opening of the heating plate door may cause incorrect sensor readings, leading to over-heating. 2. Secure the roller shaft rod by locking it into the guide groove on the right side and tightening the left-side rod firmly. 3. Straighten the film and reattach it evenly onto the roller, eliminating any misalignment or wrinkling.
Causes: Insufficient setting on the powder-shaking motor, or excessively high white ink concentration.
Solutions: 1. Increase the power setting on the powder-shaking motor and observe the machine's outlet to ensure excess powder at pattern edges is fully shaken off. 2. Access the Zrip software and slightly adjust to lower the white ink printing concentration, thereby reducing powder adhesion.
¶ 8. Take-up roller not rotating, failing to collect film, or collecting film erratically and rapidly
Working Principle: A sensor above the powder return box detects the film transport status and automatically drives the take-up roller. The film collection speed synchronizes with the printing speed.
Causes: Sensor blocked by dust or debris, or misaligned sensor angle preventing proper detection of the film.
Solutions: Clean dust and debris between the sensor and the film. Fine-tune the sensor base so the sensing head is angled upward toward the lowest point of the film, ensuring accurate and sensitive detection.
- Remove the acrylic panel from the opening of the all-in-one machine and install the Obziy-specific single-sheet printing adapter, inserting it securely into the device's opening.
- Installation standard: The magnetic back of the adapter must firmly attach to the metal plate on the all-in-one machine, with its inner side flush against the metal plate and positioned directly below the printer's paper output slot.
- Proceed with normal layout and printing. After printing, feed the film into the machine's output slot, cut the film, then manually shake off excess powder and bake for curing.
Under normal operating conditions (daily operation, well-ventilated environment): clean every 30–45 days and replace every 3–4 months; in workshops with high dust levels: clean every 15–20 days and replace every 2 months.
Cleaning method: Use compressed air to blow out dust from the inside outward. If clogging is severe, replace directly—do not wash with water.
Early replacement criteria: If a noticeable toner odor is detected at the exhaust outlet or if equipment negative pressure weakens, replace immediately without waiting for the scheduled cycle.
Filter Level Adjustment Guidelines
- Regular printing (8pass–12pass): Set filter level to 50% (half position).
- High-speed mode or mass production: Set filter level to 70%–80%.
- Avoid prolonged operation at 100% full capacity to prevent accelerated filter element wear.
Daily Filter Maintenance Tips
- After daily shutdown, clean floating powder from the air intake of the purifier to prevent dust accumulation that may block sensors or clog filters.
- Ensure the filter chamber door is fully closed to prevent unfiltered dust from entering the equipment interior and contaminating toner or mixing components.
- Clean the powder return box regularly to avoid powder overflow and dispersion into the purifier, which can shorten filter life.
¶ 11. General Safety and Daily Maintenance Guidelines
- All adjustments, cleaning, and maintenance operations must be performed when the equipment is powered off and stopped. Never disassemble or install parts while powered on.
- Before starting the machine each day, inspect the film path, latches, sensors, and door panels. After operation, clean surface dust and residual debris from the equipment.
- Avoid prolonged operation with no material loaded or high-temperature idle standby to reduce component wear.
- If abnormal noises, odors, film feeding issues, or heating failures occur, stop the machine immediately, cut power, and contact after-sales service for inspection—never operate under faulty conditions.
- It is recommended to use original manufacturer-supplied consumables and replacement parts to ensure equipment accuracy and optimal printing performance.
