White ink has large pigment particles and high density, making it prone to sedimentation and stratification. Correct handling is essential for stable DTF printing.
Usage essentials:
- Shake thoroughly before refilling: Always tighten the cap and shake the bottle up and down thoroughly before refilling white ink to prevent sediment from stratifying or splashing out.
- Ink shaker: During batch printing, place the white ink bottle on the ink shaker station and keep it running to automatically shake the ink evenly and prevent sedimentation.
- White ink circulation system: White ink is supplied through a circulation system with a white ink filter that intercepts sediment particles and prevents them from entering the printhead.
- Dangers of sedimentation: White ink sedimentation can cause intermittent white ink output, uneven white ink thickness, and print voiding; in severe cases, it can clog ink tubes and damage the printhead.
- Never mix inks: Mixing white ink of different brands or models is strictly prohibited. Mixing can cause chemical reactions that easily clog the ink supply system and ruin the printhead.
- After long downtime: Always shake the ink bottle before resuming printing after prolonged shutdown. Even without refilling, regularly check the white ink condition in daily use.
- Use original factory inks to ensure printing accuracy and color stability.
- Refill the corresponding color promptly when the ink level indicator lights up to prevent dry-running damage to the printhead.
- Never mix inks from different brands.
- Tightly seal ink bottles after use to prevent evaporation and drying.
- Store in a cool, dark place; avoid high temperature, direct sunlight, and freezing.
- Inks are chemical consumables. Keep away from children and dispose of waste ink in an environmentally compliant manner.
- DTF transfer film (PET film) has an ink-receptive coating that holds printed ink and powder; after heat curing, the image transfers onto garments and other substrates.
- High-temperature resistant, suitable for the curing/heating process (standard curing temperature: 160-165℃).
- Flat and stable film for smooth media feeding, combined with the platen vacuum to ensure printing accuracy.
| Media Width |
Usage Notes |
Canvas Setting |
| 11.8 inches (approx. 300mm) |
Narrow film; install the pressure clip |
Canvas width 300mm, print 290mm pattern |
| 15 inches (approx. 381mm) |
Wide film; remove the pressure clip |
Canvas width 381mm, print 370mm pattern |
The canvas width should be slightly smaller than the media width to prevent the pattern from exceeding the printable area. Print a maximum-size pattern and leave a small margin on both sides.
- Three-point centering: The film roll, the printer's paper output slot, and the all-in-one take-up roller must be precisely centered and aligned. Off-center film feeding can scratch the printhead and cause film wrinkles or damage.
- Keep film flat: Ensure the film is flat and wrinkle-free before use; attach it smoothly and firmly to the take-up roller without deviation.
- Film storage: Store in a dry, dark, dust-free environment to prevent moisture and aging from affecting ink absorption and media feeding.
- Regular cleaning: Clean ink stains and film debris from transport rollers, pressure rollers, and platen suction holes regularly to ensure smooth media feeding.
